At SummerSlam, two of the biggest names in DWC collide when Undisputed DWC Champion Roman Reigns defends his championship against “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes in a blockbuster rematch years in the making.
For Rhodes, the road back to Roman Reigns began at the Royal Rumble.
Cody entered the Royal Rumble knowing exactly what was at stake. Twenty-nine other competitors stood between him and another opportunity at championship glory, but Rhodes refused to be denied. After surviving one of the most grueling matches of his career, Cody punched his ticket to WrestleMania and earned the opportunity he had been chasing.

The DWC Women’s Tag Team Championship will be on the line at The Biggest Event of the Summer when Lyra Valkyria & Bayley defend their titles against Nia Jax & Lash Legend, B-Fab & Michin, and Fatal Influence in a blockbuster Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match.
The champions have proven to be a formidable combination, with Valkyria’s incredible athleticism and Bayley’s veteran experience helping them survive every challenge thrown their way.

At SummerSlam, DWC Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley will put her championship on the line against Carlita’ Cortes in what has been declared Cortes’ final opportunity at The Eradicator’s title.
The rivalry between Ripley and Cortes reached another level at WrestleMania, where Cortes stepped onto The Grandest Stage of Them All determined to end Ripley’s reign and capture the DWC Women’s World Championship.
Despite pushing the champion to her limit, Cortes came up short as Ripley survived the battle and walked out of WrestleMania still champion.
But Cortes refused to accept that their story was over.
In the months following WrestleMania, Cortes fought her way back into championship contention, insisting that she had learned from her mistakes and that she only needed one more match to prove she could defeat Mami.
Now, she has her wish.
At SummerSlam, Carlita’ Cortes will receive one final opportunity against Rhea Ripley for the DWC Women’s World Championship.
